[Green] Please help me on Sunday during coffee hour!

Hi Greenies *and especially GEORGE BANZIGER*,

A few days ago, I emailed you just a bit about what’s happening at FUUSM this Sunday during the service and during coffee hour. It’s all related to honoring Martin Luther King Jr.

We would honor him most by community service. If I recall correctly, Martha McGovern will talk about some upcoming events focusing on diversity; Robin Bozian plans to talk about homelessness and how we can help (I think), and for 5 minutes, I’ll talk about the issue of fracking brine and injection wells here in Washington County—and what we can do about it. The service will be a bit shorter than usual, because during Coffee Hour, we'll have several stations set up, including one for Green Sanctuary. There, we’ll have a list of talking points, a list of officials to contact, post cards…. and we’ll ask folks to just write a postcard to county council, the Ohio Gas & Oil Management Commission, Gov. DeWine… Other things will be going on at other stations. The point is that we will take action Right There and Then. Yes, this will be a duplication of what we did at the Hour of Environmental Action last week, but folks who didn’t attend will have a second chance to do something effective on this issue!

So, after you get your coffee and cookies, will you please help me out at the GSC station, encouraging people to write, writing a post card or letter yourself, talking about brine waste with folks there, etc. 

George, will you please bring your blank post cards?  

Because of this event, the Green Sanctuary Committee will meet Sunday, January 26th at 12:30ish instead of this Sunday.
