[Green] Our Climate Justice Revival special planning meeting

Adeline,

Since I cannot attend the Friday session, I looked at the video today.

My major concern is how we localize our revival session and bring it
into the specific context of Washington County and eastern Ohio. This would
involve the discussion about "collective imagining of our community
thriving" and might include information from ReiMagine Appalachia (e.g.,
sessions in forthcoming weeks on manufacturing in Appalachia).
"Challenging realities" we might cover are fracking in public lands and
what Save Ohio Parks is trying to do in this regard, injection wells
(radioactivity that Justin Nobels describes in his book,* Petroleum 238*),
and how to support candidates in local, state, and national elections who
support addressing climate change and climate injustice. An overriding
theme might be how climate change and climate injustice particularly
impacts those of us in the Mid-Ohio Valley (I tried to cover his in the
sermon I submitted to the UUA Revival group).

We should also identify what it is that we expect people, as residents
of the Mid-Ohio Valley, to do as a result of participating in the revival.

Feel free to share these thoughts of mine at the Friday meeting.
