[Green] GSC draft agenda and call for items

Hi, Green friends!

Deepest thanks to Debra and Jim for chairing the past two GSC meetings. I am still swamped, but my next book deadline isn’t until Sept. 16, so although I am cranking, I am not down to the wire on it. And note: I will be on a genuine vacation—out of town and even out of the country--from Aug. 20-25. 

Even though there will be no Sunday service in the FUUSM sanctuary on Aug. 18, we will still have a GSC meeting in the RE building, aiming to start at 12:30 p.m.  Mike and Adeline will be absent, so I’ll be running the Zoom. Any volunteers to take notes?

Thanks to those who voted by email to approve the minutes of the June meeting. There were no “nay” votes, so I’m considering them approved.  

Here’s what I know we need to discuss at our meeting. Please let me know of new business or anything I’ve omitted by Saturday at 5 p.m.

1. Approval of minutes of the July 21 meeting.

2 Solar charging bench
	a. Would love to have a report from Annie and/or Rebecca at this meeting. 
	b. Volunteers for an events calendar for October, to post on August 31?  (Please remind me that I found a helpful events calendar in the #VisitMarietta magazine. It is on my desk in the FUUSM office.)

3. George Banziger’s worthy projects
	a. Save Ohio Parks
	b. CCL, including addressing and stamping “please vote” postcards targeted to green-leaning voters.
	c. ReImagine Appalachia
	d. Devola Pollinator Project
	
4. Pollinator Habitat Report from Rebecca

5. The big one: Planning the Climate Justice Revival, on Sept. 28-29. 
	a. Adeline emailed important questions to those who expressed interest in helping with the events. Let’s discuss. 
	b. Dawn moves that the GSC spend up to $100 to provide a light lunch on Day 1 of the event. 

6. FaCT Ohio Update

7. Other local org updates, especially MOVCA. 

What have I forgotten?  

Hope to see all of you, live or via Zoom, at 12:30 on Sunday.  (But if the planetarium show runs long, those of us who attend might be a bit late. )
