Here’s a rare opportunity for a free trip to an island! Buckley Island, that is—part of the Ohio River Islands National Wildlife Refuge. Last Saturday’s Earth Day tree planting was postponed because of the after-effects of flooding. So, here’s your second chance! Meet at the Williamstown boat ramp between 1 and 2 p.m., dressed for digging. Tree planting is work, but it’s good, worth work, and snacks will be provided! The goal is to plant 400 native trees and shrubs. And who’s leading this restoration ecology project? FUUSM’s own Elaine Barr!

Hope you can make it!
