The City of Marietta has numerous tents of varying sizes available to participants of activities such as Earth Day.  Susan Joyce at Public Works will know about this 740-373-1616

 Dawn,
I have a 10' X 20' canopy that I have offered up to the Earth Day planners and if it is not needed elsewhere I suggested that maybe it could be used instead of multiple popups for the FUUSM/MOVCA/CCL/Ginnie's or whoever will fit, Kathy Ort was agreeable to that if it will fit in the space. Is that something you would like?
Also, the tree planting project is postponed due to river conditions, we are hoping to do it the following Saturday the 27th.
We have crayons out the wazoo stored in a pile of craft stuff in the basement that I am trying to find a home for anyway. I will try to remember to bring them and I will not want them back.
I thought the service went well also, there are a couple things that I wish I said, but I always feel that way after a talk.
I may be waffling back and forth between Brand Bond's Memorial and Earth Day Set up this Friday afternoon, if there is anything that I can get positioned or help with at that time let me know.
Thank you,
Vic

First of all, thanks and kudos to all who helped with or participated in today’s service. It was a good one, and the presentations were all informing, inspiring, enlightening, and do-able!! Great job to all involved!!
Next: Earth Day is Saturday, 10-1, at the Armory. Does anyone have a truck we can use to haul a couple of tables from FUUSM to the Armory?  Believe it or not, I can probably get one or two 6-foot tables into my car, but we probably should have three, since our space will have representation from several groups. I’ll plan to be at FUUSM at 9 a.m. In years past, Jim and Debra have hauled the tables and canopies with their truck, but I think they will be grandparenting in Hawaii by Earth Day.
Please help staff the booths. Jane Tumas Serna said she’d get the stuff we need to have a voter registration station.
I have 82 packs of native wildflower seeds for distribution, but enough seeds, labels and envelopes for many more. If you have time to scoop, affix labels, and seal envelopes this week, please let me know and I’ll hand the package off to you. Rebecca will send me something to photocopy that we can hand out.
Somebody, I forget who, had some activity sheets for kids. We can borrow crayons from FUUSM if we remember to snag them. I’ll bring my solar clothes dryer (as usual).
It seems we usually plan Earth Day more than we have this year, and I’m sorry I didn’t facilitate that. April is always a busy month for me, but this one seems downright demanding. (One thing after another this month! Sheesh!)
If you have any solar devices for show and tell, please bring them. Or photos of FUUSM’s solar array. I’ll try to find FUUSM’s banner this week.
Please reply to this message if you are willing and able to help on Saturday. It’s only from 10-1. And then, there’s tree-planting on Buckley Island, which, last year, was a fun and rewarding experience.
Finally, we’ll have a Green Sanctuary meeting next Sunday. I’ll probably assemble the agenda Wednesday evening. Please reply to this message with agenda items that I am likely to forget or new business.
Thank you for being on this team!  We do good, important work—together!
