Hi Adeline,
Yes, Jim and I are here and plan to contribute. We could talk about our solar and Zena’s EV, or everyday things we have practiced, or a new grandparent perspective or any thing else that would not repeat what others do. Let me know what area you would like us to address. Thanks for all you do.
Debra

yes, solar array is the topic I will be presenting, with info from Mike, who will be in the tech booth at the time.
i also think we should use the song "what can one little person do?' somewhere in the service.
W&M also encourages service presenters/leaders to inform the childcare people about the theme of the service the week before so they can coordinate what they do with the young people with the adult service. (Maybe suggest they plant some of the seeds we will be distributing on Earth Day? Or something about recycling? There are a ton of suggestions in that video.)
Thanks, Rebecca, for organizing the hymns, readings, etc.

Hi Green friends,
The Green Sanctuary’s Sunday service is less than two weeks away!! Yikes!! Except, not yikes, because we have a plan. Now let’s figure out the details.
1. Rebecca has agreed to be the worship leader—which means she has to plan the order of service, pick hymns and readings, etc.
2. The reflection will be “What Can One Person Do?” featuring an ensemble of volunteers explaining what they do to lessen their environmental footprint. At our March meeting, these people volunteered:
a. George, on planning and promoting the Devola pollinator planting project
b. Vic on… something
c. Adeline, on her and Mike’s residential solar installation
d. Jonathan on…. something
e. Jim and Debra on ….. something. (Wait, what? Really? But they weren’t home yet, and they weren’t on Zoom. Did they really volunteer?)
Can you folks please reply-all with your topic, so that, say, both Jonathan and Vic don’t end up talking about electric vehicles! (Although one of them talking on that topic would be great!) And once we know the topics, we (meaning Rebecca or I, I suppose) will put them in order of presentation, OK?
I can serve as a backup, but if the five people above each talk or present for 4 minutes, we’ll have a 20-minute reflection. Four minutes doesn’t sound like much time, and it isn’t. But Americans today, even UUs, have short attention spans! And 20 minutes is about as long as our congregation can sit still before they get antsy.
3. Rebecca may have a reading opportunity for anyone else who wants to participate, such as for the chalice lighting, the closing words, or just a reading…. Any takers? It would be great to have MANY GSC members involved.
4. Adeline has proposed this video book for the Time for All Ages, which I think would be swell: https://youtu.be/lbUS3jPjyrc?si=05cxl8Mk1E863xE- It covers a lot of good stuff, for kids and adults, in an enjoyable Dr. Seuss-like tale.
5. So, anything else? For the record, I am QUITE CONTENT to sit this one out. I am up in front so often. Too often. I’d be tired of seeing me if I were in the congregation.
Thank you!!
