[Green] Pollinator Habitat Work Days

If anyone is planning to be at the site in the morning, a neighbor tells me that Fort Street is often closed off for the Sternwheel Festival (not sure what time), so you may need to park at the Gilman Methodist Church.

Hello, all,

Plant growth at the habitat continues. We are in need of people who can help to remove wingstem, pokeweed, crabgrass, and other overly-enthusiastic members of the plant community. Once some of those are cleared from the bottom of the slope, we will be moving some shorter species to locations where they are less likely to be overwhelmed by their neighbors. We will also be potting up some species to be rehomed.

Days and times (weather permitting):

Saturday, 9/9, 9:00-11:00 (so still plenty of time to take in the Sternwheel Festival)
Sunday, 9/17, 3:00-5:00
Saturday, 9/23, 9:00-11:00
Saturday, 9/30, 9:00-11:00
