I am quite willing to serve on such a committee, but bear in mind that I leave for Mexico on December 11 and will not be back until March 29. After December 17, I can meet online, but we will be spending that first week in places where good wifi is not guaranteed.

Dawn,

I posed the issue of developing content for the coming (digital?) wayside pulpit and solar bench to the board of trustees Monday and the consensus was that we will develop a new outreach committee to work on that, and that we would work on selecting members for that committee post-haste, beginning with Rebecca if she is willing.

I saw that on the agenda and just thought you should know. I will be on vacation and probably not attend the meeting virtually Sunday.

Happy Thanksgiving,

Vic

Hi, Green friends!

How can the third Sunday of the month be coming up already?!? It seems like I composed an email like this a few days ago.

Here is the start of an agenda for Sunday’s GSC meeting, which will be in-person, and—if George is willing to host, please—on Zoom, starting no earlier than 12:30, and hopefully not much later.

If I have forgotten about anything, or if you have new items to discuss, please let me know by Saturday at 6 p.m.

1. Approval of minutes from last meeting. Adeline sent them to me soon after the meeting, but I’ve been sitting on them—as I usually do. Sorry. They are attached.

2. Solar-charging bench
a. Quick postmortem of solar-charging bench dedication/non-media event.
b. We need a subcommittee or team to make sure the info on the sign is up to date. Quarterly, maybe? Any volunteers to be on the TEAM?
c. Mike and Adeline: were you reimbursed for the $50.74 for materials? The church lady can help with that.

3. Ecological restoration projects update — Mark Krivchenia

4. Air quality monitor for FUUSM — Jonathan Brier

5. Reports from George
a. November 15 meeting in Columbus
b. Fracking on public lands/ Save Ohio Parks
c. ReImagine Appalachia
d. CCL meeting tomorrow (Monday, Nov. 20) via Zoom
e. Organization of Clean Energy and Climate (OCEC)--the waste-heat-capturing greenhouse on Ohio Route 7 South.

6. Greenies, Quakers, Chalice Lighters, reinvigorating FUUSM religious education programs for youth — Ginnie McNeil

7. Do we want to offer Green Gift ideas or Green Holiday suggestions for the December Confluence? The deadline is the day after this meeting, so….

8. Kudos to Adeline and others who organized last Sunday’s service on Reinvigorating Indigenous Connections!

9. Things I’ve forgotten, or new business. Please let me know!!

Thanks for helping to keep environmental awareness and problem solving active and visible in FUUSM—and beyond!
