this opportunity to interact with an official from the US EPA on November
16 (5 pm).  I am wondering about the possibility of a rescission of the
Haliburton Rule (companies don't have to tell the public what's in brine
waste) as well as rules about PFAS,

Dear George,

I am so glad you are signed up to participate in our Zoom meeting on
November 16 at 5pm eastern with EPA Deputy Assistant Administrator Tomás
Carbonell. We are looking forward to this meaningful opportunity to
advocate directly with an EPA official for the strongest possible climate
regulations.

Will you invite three of your friends to join you for this important
meeting? The EPA is currently making critical choices over how much carbon,
soot, and mercury they will allow power plants to send in the air and
water. They can take bold and swift action to protect public health,
advance environmental justice, and limit the worst impacts of climate
change, or they can give in to those who want to delay and weaken these
necessary rules, putting our health and safety at risk. The more people we
bring to the November 16 Zoom event, the better our chances will be at
shaping that choice.

Meeting attendees do not need to be issue experts or prepared to speak in
detail about climate policy. We will have opportunities for attendees to
react and interact, but no prior experience will be necessary.
