Friends,
Jay Phillips has invited us to offer recycling at the Blues Fest, Friday and Saturday, March 17 and 18 from 7:30-11, and also Saturday, march 18 from 12:30-5:30.
He thinks we’ll need two volunteers on each shift (who would get free admission).
We’d probably need to provide two containers (one for each side of the room) each for bottles, and also for cans, and maybe even for plastic cups (if they’re #1,2,4, or 5, but not if they’re #4,6,or 7). So we’d need at least four bins and possibly six.
Any volunteers among you? We can’t just set up the bins, because folks won’t bother to sort bottles from cans, and will likely contaminate them with trash, too. I am not volunteering to sort the bins, but listening to jazz while making sure people place their waste in the proper container isn’t a bad job!
If you DON’T want to help with this, please don’t reply (unless you have an idea to facilitate this).
If you ARE interested in helping, please say whether you want one or more shifts, and which shifts you’d like to work.
Thanks!
