[Green] An item for the FUUSM Board of Trustees' agenda

Dear Karen, Nancy, Tom, and Kat,

A few months ago, Ginnie McNeil, who is active with FaCT-OH, a faith-based
environmental organization that started 11 years ago in a UU congregation,
approached the Green Sanctuary with a proposal that FUUSM become the
FaCT-OH anchor congregation for southeastern Ohio.  FaCT-OH has anchor
congregations--most or all are UUs--throughout the state, but they need one
for this quadrant, and we are likely candidates.

Attached, please find the proposal and agreement form that provides lots
more information on FaCT-OH, and what is involved in becoming an anchor.
There is NO monetary requirement--except that we would agree to a special
collection once a year (if my memory serves me correctly). You can read the
details yourself.

Ginnie McNeill has agreed to be the liaison between FUUSM and FaCT-OH if
the board approves this relationship. And note that either party--FUUSM or
FaCT-OH can terminate the agreement at any time.

Members of the Green Sanctuary voted unanimously on recommending that the
FUUSM Board of Trustees endorse this designation and relationship--as you
did with our joining Interfaith Power & Light. Even before you read the
attachments, I encourage you to visit https://www.factohio.org/ to get a
feel for this worthy organization.

Vic is the GSC liaison to the board, so I suppose you can put him down to
represent the topic on the agenda. But, really, the information you need is
in these two attachments--and the fact that the GSC committee voted
unanimously in support of becoming the SE OH anchor.
