Thanks so much for this information, George! I will act. I already commented (twice, I think) on Salt Fork, but not yet on Wolf Run. I will, though. —dawn

Green Sanctuary Folks:

Today I attended a (Zoom) meeting of Save Ohio Parks (saveohioparks.org <http://saveohioparks.org> ).

There are two "nominations," i.e., requests for permits from oil* gas companies, which have been recently revised by the Ohio Land Management Commission. This means that the comment period has been extended. The two revisions have to do with nominations involving Salt Fork State Park and Wolf Run State Park. The new deadline for comments is September (around the 9th).

     Please send comments to:

             Commission.Clerk at oglmc.ohio.gov <mailto:Commission.Clerk at oglmc.ohio.gov>

      In the subject line write:

public comments on nomination#23-DNR-0008 (Wolf Run)

public comments on nomination #23-DNR-0009 (Salt Fork)

In your comments please mention any personal experience with either of these parks that you may have (I know that some of you have done bicycle trips to Wolf Run). Also mention:

-Nomination requests do not state how many well pads there will be on the site

         -Effects on climate change

-Increase in injection well activity (Washington County leads the state in volume of brine waste)

     I've attached a suggested message from saveohioparks.org <http://saveohioparks.org>

     Thank you
