[Green] Green Sanctuary Committee meeting Sunday: Draft agenda & call for agenda items

Hello Greenies,

Attached, please find the minutes of our August meeting. 

Here is a draft agenda for Sunday’s meeting. Please let me know by Saturday at noon if you have additional items to discuss or if I’ve forgotten anything.. George has already sent his reports 

Note that we might not start promptly at 12:30 on Sunday, since the fall congregational meeting will follow the service, and we will follow that meeting—as close to 12:30 as we can make it to the parlor and get Zoom up and running.


!. Approval of minutes from the August meeting.

2. CITF grant projects:
	a. Pollinator plot
	b. Solar bench placement?

3. CCL; Reimagine Appalachia; Injection wells updates (see George’s report, sent earlier)
	a. Roger Kalter, Vic Elam, Debra Miller, Dawn Hewitt (did I miss anyone) attended the MOV Citizen Action Committee meeting on injection wells on 8/21. State Rep. Jay Edwards did not attend; State Senator Frank Hoagland did. 
	b. Recent brine spill. What can and should we do with this information? 

4. MOVCA Update

5. HIP Committee update:
	a. We got a thank-you note from UUMFE for our donation.
	b. First Daughter and the Black Snake screening had about a dozen in attendance

6. Fact Update

7. Recap of last Sunday’s Social Justice Sunday panel discussion on water protection, which had about 19 in attendance
	Callie Lyons proposed a toxic site tour for our next Social Justice Sunday event!

8. Dawn “attended”  the Faith in Place 2022 Green Team Summit keynote address: a talk by Katharine Hayhoe. It was informative and encouraging. (Dawn forgot to attend the FaCT webinar on “the End of Megafauna,” but she has the link and intends to watch it one of these days. 

9. Anything I’ve omitted or forgotten or don’t know about but is worthy of discussion?
