Hello, MOVCA members and friends!

At a special Zoom program,*"**A****C**onversation **A**cross the 
**G**enerations** about****C**limate **C**hange**,”*Mid-Ohio Valley 
Climate Action members and friends will have the opportunity to see six 
new public service videos created by students  in the Global Marketing 
course at Marietta College.

Instructed by Nicole Byrd, Assistant Professor of Marketing, the 
students used guidelines from MOVCA’s 2021 contest, “Climate Change: 
Change the Future,”  to create broadcast quality 25-second public 
service announcements that would teach the community about climate 
change — and inspire action for a better future. The November 17,7:00 pm 
Zoom program offers a first public look at the  PSAs and an opportunity 
to hear from the marketing creators; acting as “clients” contracting the 
PSAs, MOVCA members have reviewed the videos, and will share their 
evaluations and suggestions for each video. In recognition of their 
efforts, teams for the top two PSAs will be awarded cash prizes.

"It's increasingly obvious that younger people have a different view of 
climate change," said Jean Ambrose, program moderator. "They are already 
stepping into a future that older folks will not experience. Often the 
generations have different approaches to taking climate action, and we 
don't always listen to each other. This program gives us an opportunity 
to do that."
