George,

Great news. I wish I could have been there.

Thank you,

When the Earth, its products, its creatures become his concern, man is caught up in a cause greater than his own life and more meaningful. Only when man loses himself in an endeavor of that magnitude does he walk and live with humility and reverence. - William O. Douglas

I have some follow-up information on the public meeting held last Thursday by ODNR based on two phone calls I had today.

    1. Bob Lane, oil/gas producer in Washington County, told me that Deep Rock Disposal Co. was handed a warrant to appear in Washington county court in response to a law suit by Bob Lane attorneys. Bob told me that people from Deep Rock were quite upset about this.

2.Charlie Schilling, President of the Washington County Commissioners told me that the commissioners have asked ODNR to place a moratorium on granting permits for injection wells in the county until all questions raised at the public meeting are answered.

In anticipation of an approval of the application for this second injection well in Little Hocking, I have asked a lawyer from Fair Shake-els how an appeal of that ODNR decision can be made He said that someone with "legal standing" needs to file such an appeal. I think that given some of the comments at the public meeting by local residents and the cooperation of the township trustees in Little Hocking, we can find a neighbor of the proposed injection well who would be willing to file such an appeal.'
