[Green] Op Ed In Parkersburg News & Sentinel

Green Sanctuary Folks,

     Attached is the op ed I wrote that appeared in today's edition of the Parkersburg News & Sentinel.

     My focus on this piece is jobs & the economy.

     As we target the injection well industry in Washington County, we should make the same point. There are few jobs in this capital-intensive business--and even less when local truckers are replaced by barges that will ship this waste into our county. 

     Many thanks to those who have submitted comments to the ODNR (and even to Deep Rock) regarding the proposed new injection well in our county. 

     And thanks also to Vic Elam who just submitted an LTE on injection wells to the Marietta Times.

    Maybe the next LTE should be about the non-transparent, clandestine way that Deep Rock and ODNR have informed the public about the new planned injection well.
