Dear Green Friends and Eric Engle,
Earth Day Marietta will be quite different this year, and there will be no big gathering on the Armory lawn—however there will be a few tables and events going on there between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 24. Ginnie, they are holding a space for a table and/or tent for “fracking,” which is YOU.
MOVCA folks, they asked if you would also like a table/tent space.
But there will be only a handful of such outreach spaces, well spaced, so as to discourage crowding. There will be a scavenger hunt in East Muskingum Park, and participants will be turning in their results sheets at a table in the Armory in order to claim a prize, so there will be some foot traffic.
Earth Day events will be throughout April, but several at various times will be on April 24. The planning committee is actively preparing a flier listing all the events, so I am attempting to get confirmation of participation from “my” contacts:
Ginnie, “fracking” will be there from 10-1, right?
MOVCA, how about you?
BYO table/chairs and optional tent.
Roger Kalter will lead a family friendly bike tour at 1 p.m. on April 24, departing from the armory, and there will be a kayak event that day, too (I think), but I don’t have details.
I think that’s all I need to say at this time. My brain is full and starting to leak.
