[Green] Meeting June 20 12:30

Just in case anything should keep me from the meeting, a report on items 2 and 3.

Pollinator Habitat Update:
a. We will be ordering two flats of plugs from North Creek Nursery as part of a wholesale order with Caroline Eells and the Maple Street planting group. The order will be placed as soon as that site is ready to plant, probably in the next couple of weeks. When I have a date, we will need to organize getting the seedlings into pots in order to hold them for fall planting.
b. Claire Mullen and Sandra Kolankiewicz (a friend of the congregation) have joined the Fort Street maintenance team. The current plan is to meet on Tuesdays at 7:45 AM to weed. We need to set up a watering schedule as well, probably every other day in dry spells.

Solar Bench Update
The livability subcommittee of the Lock One Park project met on May 19 with representatives from Pickering and Associates, which is creating a design for the site, Marietta Main Street, and Enrich Marietta, along with Mayor Schlicher. The purpose of the meeting was to gather a list of "wants" for the area as well as to share information. Pickering will be distributing preliminary design options for the site when they are completed.
