Hi Rebecca and others,
Just wanted to confirm that I did water the riverbank last night.
I forgot where you said the hose was, so the nice woman in the house across the street graciously showed me.
The big, old, brick house, painted white, has a ramp on the right side that ends on a landing. The hose is in a big tub on the ground just past the landing.
She also showed me where the water meter/faucet is, and I struggled to get the lid off—which was stupid, because it wasn’t latched. I thought I’d need a wrench, but I just needed to twist it.
Next time, I’ll know.
The hillside looks GORGEOUS!!! I pulled out a few bindweeds or morning glories or whatever they are, but barely scratched the surface, and I’m confident that they’ve grown back already.
Thanks to all who have put so much more time into this worthy project than I have. The woman across the street said, “I love what you guys are doing to the riverbank! Thank you!!”
Just imagine how gorgeous it will be when the whole bank is covered in these gorgeous, mostly native plants. And there were lots and lots of bees and other pollinators using them!!
