Because of price increases for the solar bench, we will need a fair amount of time to discuss that issue.

Subject: [Green] Call for agenda items, and directions to my house!

Hi Greenies!

First things first: If you are planning to attend the GSC at my house on Sunday, you need to get here via the downtown side of Seventh Street. The 300 and 400 blocks of Seventh Street are under construction and traffic is one way northwest. Right now it is impossible to drive directly from Washington Street to Putnam. That lane is closed. So from the intersection of Seventh/Putnam/and Glenwood, head away from town on Seventh and you’ll be fine. Or get yourself to the intersection of Seventh and Tupper, and all you have to do is drive straight through the intersection.

My house is off of The Arbors’ parking lot. Enter The Arbors’ parking lot and look up the hill to the right. Notice the wooden fence. That hides my house. There are three parking spaces in front of my house for those with mobility issues, but for the rest of you, I encourage you to park close to Seventh Street to be courteous to Arbors’ staff and visitors.

The meeting will start at 12:30, but feel free to come a little early for the quickie tour. I’ll be happy to provide longer tours after the meeting.

We will also meet via Zoom. George will send the link soon.

IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO ATTEND THE MEETING IN PERSON, YAY! BUT ALSO, PLEASE LET ME KNOW. The head count will determine whether we will meet on the deck or in the dining room or in the dining and living rooms!! Also, how much lemonade and iced tea to make.

Now, here’s a draft agenda. Please let me know if I’ve forgotten anything, or if there are new items to discuss.

1. Approval of minutes from the June meeting. (Attached. Really.)
2. Riverbank Project
a. Status
b. Schedule of volunteers
c. Harmar Days volunteers
d. Signs
e. Bulk plant purchase and potting?
f. Future plans
3. Solar Bench project
a. Where are we?
b. Where do we go from here?
4. Applying for more funding from DuPont’s Clear Into the Future Grant?
5 Marietta water well field protection enforcement?
6. MOVCA update
7. CCL update
8. Injection wells update
a. Sierra Club project to urge DNR to tighten up regulations regarding fracking waste given recent news headlines about its legal toxicity.
b. Any further response from ODNR regarding the Deep Rock spill?
9. Things I’ve forgotten or don’t know about. Let me know!!

Hope to see ALL of you on Sunday, but again, PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU’RE COMING TO MY HOUSE!!

Thanks for caring enough to serve on this committee, for your input, and your efforts to make this a more sustainable society.
