Here's an explanation of what the Frederick, MD congregation - where we 
used to live -  set up for livestreaming their Sunday service today. 
Maybe we can all get tech-smart quickly!

the technology we will be using to livestream.

If you haven't used Zoom before (or want to learn more about Zoom), you 
are welcome to join either or both of these sessions.

Most importantly, either of these two sessions will give you an 
opportunity to test if you are able to access our livestream 
beforeSunday morning.

We will also cover some Zoom basics such as how to:

  * mute/unmute yourself
  * turn on/off your audio/video
  * toggle between "Speaker" and "Gallery" views
  * use the Chat box, etc.

Note: Many of the above functions are optional. It is also fine to just 
log on and watch on Sunday morning. But learning some of the above tools 
may help as other meetings may be moved online in the coming days.

You should be able to log into Zoom from any device that has an Internet 
browser:

  * If your device (computer or smartphone) has a camera, you will have
    the option to be seen (or not). If your device doesn't have a
    camera, you can still view the UUCF video livestream.
  * Your device (computer or smartphone) will need to have speakersto be
    able to hear UUCF's livestream. But if you can hear anything from
    your device through other programs, then its speakers should be
    sufficient.
  * If your device (computer or smartphone) has a microphone, you will
    be given the option to be heard (or muted). If not, you can still
    listen to the livestream.
