Bodacious Woman Weekend - June 28th (online)  

We all know we should improve how we communicate our thoughts and feelings, eat to be healthy, and make our purchases from local/small businesses.

That sounds so easy, doesn't it? But old habits are hard to break.  New behaviors take lots of practice in order to retrain the brain to think differently, and they take planning - which requires that we set aside the time to make it happen.

Which led us to create the original [ Bodacious Woman Weekend ]( https://4hy93.r.ag.d.sendibm3.com/mk/cl/f/DLUuH0ESbUlH9MloSSI3uufBmHns_Tlmj9f1s7rzfmpgl1ZpRbMt3581W83RqL6yMMRrzd4lMHYjYGhueGq761o2kbxCPhFEXKyOJF2y1HGo4iEiY8OcYqFNGfQtPR723NuBiyhAtYXfR7k8oX2d4hjTodm2GjrEq2KIp6SQp6QtCcUtfrGVWg8V-Kw0TTyGmtHcKAf2iaujRyV-eTU4SEjqZNY2jGoab3ezbU6uuVbZ ).  Our goal was to find ways to work with women to re-program our brains to communicate more effectively as women, to easily eat healthy food, and to network among ourselves so that we could expand our personal and professional support systems.

>From personal experience, it's clear that as women we need to find new ways to be able to say, “Hell no!” in ways that enable us to be heard. We need to move past the cultural advertising about how our bodies should look, and find ways to use food to maintain our energy and to feel good.

A Note from Jay and Me:  

At our annual BRS planning retreat (held at the Peace Porch) we made some significant decisions based on trends we see emerging around the world.

Our plan is to stay hunkered down until August, and then review where we are. But it seems likely that we will have no visitors for the remainder of this year, and no leaving the farm unless absolutely necessary.

It seems the planet is trying to tell us that we all must do a bit of soul searching - or else - and we are responding with "Okay, you don't have to tell us twice...we believe you."

So we are taking this year to evaluate where we are and where we want to be.  It is our "Year of Heavy Lifting" - planning and instituting programs and behaviors that will take us into the next decade.
