[Green] Application for Fracking Waste Offload Facility

Just a comment re the sources of fracking wastewater. Barging is a high
volume, medium - long distance transportation mode that makes greatest
economic sense when coupled with long distances and navigable water
access. The potential sources are all high fracking activity areas with
navigable water access ... quite a large area. And the volumes of fracking
wastewater for disposal are HUGE. The state of Ohio has been receptive to
fracking wastewater disposal. So barge unloading facilities along the Ohio
River are key pieces of the logistics system between the high fracking
activity areas and the disposal well sites.
Ohio is being set up to be a disposal site for a large part of the US's
fracking wastewater problem.
