At least one problem can be fixed ...  
Apparently, I'm in love again.  The moment I saw his photo online, he stole my heart.

The journey from the day he arrived to now has involved a great deal of listening, observing and learning. I've read five books on how to form a perfect relationship with this guy.

The looks he gives me, the way he leans in when we walk together, the respect he shows when he sees me first thing in the morning, and the happiness he shares as we walk to the office - all reinforce a powerful message to me - we were meant to be together.

When he first arrived, he was crazy wild, full of anxiety, terrified of being left alone.  He jumped at any sudden movement. Today he is a loving (relatively calm) dog, ready to protect and always expecting affection.

Norman brings such happiness and reminds me daily of what kindness and love can do to make great change in a short amount of time. Yes, I'm definitely in love.

NOTE: Norman is now the unwilling poster child, representing the importance of neutering...even though he temporarily has to wear the cone of shame to protect his incision.

6-Week Online Solar Installation Course - Starts Next Week  
The University of Dayton is sponsoring a complete and comprehensive online work-at-your-own pace course designed to help you understand how to design and install residential solar (PV) systems.

The course includes over 40 hours of online training, two weekly Zoom meetings with the instructor, textbook, and a face-to-face day-long lab session at Melink Corporate Headquarters near Cincinnati.

So Where is the Silver Lining?  
It's been September almost the entire month of August...low humidity, cooler temps most days, and the leaves are starting to fall.

It's five weeks until the projected frost date. I can hardly stand the thought of that. But at the same time, I am grateful for this weather. Grateful for the rain that's keeping the summer garden going. Grateful for the fall garden that is coming on quickly.

It seems everything can have a silver lining if we just try to find it.
