Hi Folks,

This link says they should be made of 18/8 food grade stainless.

Debra,

I surely don't like to buy stuff made in China - unless I know something about the working conditions and pay. But that is probably just my thing.

I'm not on the GS Committee anyway - so maybe I shouldn't have commented.

Hope you are enjoying your travels.

Joan

There are options for bulk purchase stainless steel bottles that may be cost effective for resale. These are made in China. What do GS members think. Is this something I should further investigate when we return from our travels??

Not ideal Debra, but did you find any cost effective ones that were not made in the U.S.?

During our last GS meeting we had discussed purchasing stainless steel water bottles to sell at events to educate and cut down on the use of plastic bottles. After doing investigation, It seems that USA made stainless steel bottles are practically nonexistent. [sigh] the few I found were very expensive – cost prohibitive for resale. USA made BPA free plastic bottles are available for bulk sale but, they are plastic. At this point it seems like the idea is not really as good as hoped.
