Next GS meeting-
You may want to add report on Solar Training Classes at FUUSM.. and scholarships to be in the minutes? Also note that MOVCA funded one scholarship AND at MOVCA’s April 4th Business meeting voted to made an additional $50. donation to FUUSM’s Green Sanctuary Committee. I’m the MOVCA Secretary and have not yet completed the write-up of those minutes, but that was an official vote. MOVCA will also be part of WVUP Earth Day Expo. MONDAY Apr. 22 (beginning 10am- 2pm). and WELCOMES participation by FUUSM Green Sanctuary. Also There will be showing of film THE SEQUEL at WVUP’s theatre at 1pm that day., I think.. (Adeline can confirm that!) There are additional Third Thursday programs which may interest GS members.. hope they can spread the news and or come! FYI: This thursday, April 18th at Frist Christian Church, 1400 Washington Ave. Parkersburg, 7pm is the screening of documentary, Paris to Pittsburgh. As Adeline wrote in press release: "When President Trump announced his intention to withdraw from the Paris Agreement, he claimed he was working on behalf of “Pittsburgh, not Paris.” But the reality is, taking climate action is delivering tangible benefits for American communities from coast to coast.
That’s why thousands of U.S. leaders and citizens are rising to the climate challenge, ensuring that we’ll make progress on our goals, no matter what happens in the White House. Hear their stories in Paris To Pittsburgh, a new film from bloomberg.org <http://bloomberg.org/> and radical.media that explores the local, private sector, and community leaders who are continuing to work towards our Paris Agreement goals - regardless of federal inaction.

We hope you will join us and share your stories of actions and solutions that are safeguarding our health and environment right here in the Mid-Ohio Valley!”

I’ll try to come to Jay’s solar presentation and then will go to Quaker meeting and hope to get back to GS meeting, but being in two places is sometimes challenging.. Thanks for being understanding , if I am late or not present. I’ll see you Saturday for Earth Day in Marietta, but will be working the MOVCA table/area and helping them set-up.

All looks good… I love your solar dryer with all those T-shirts that represent Local Green activism… plus a chance for young people to use a Clothespin and participate in solar Drying. One time I had a retractable clothesline.. the worked… for people who couldn’t keep up a line.. wondering if that type is still available anywhere.

Thanks all..
Cindy Taylor

I’ll also bring some tape, markers, pasteboard, and anything else that seems like it might be useful. I hope you’ll do the same.

Chris Jacobs will chair the meeting, but I’ll prepare the agenda for him. If there are omissions, please let me know by 7 p.m. Wednesday.
