One more item: Years ago we had made a commitment to help maintain a section of the River Trail (through Muskingum Park), and I noticed yesterday that there were a lot of sweet gum balls on a couple areas of our adopted part. Perhaps we should schedule some volunteer shifts.

Subject: [Green] Call for Agenda items for Sunday's Green Sanctuary Committee meeting
Dear Green Friends,
Don’t forget: Thursday at 7 p.m. is the Candidate Forum on Energy and the Environment. Please come and bring everyone you know! Local media outlets, it seems, have ignored our press releases. George resent them yesterday. I’m afraid the audience will be small. George said the editor of the Marietta Times, at least, would send a reporter.
I’ll send a separate note updating you about the latest info on the Candidate Forum. Next.
Sunday is our Green Sanctuary meeting. The weekly update said it would meet at 12:15, but that barely gives us time to grab a cuppa joe and a cookie—unless services end early. The meeting will start when Adeline arrives, and that’s usually close to 12:30.
Here’s what I can think of to discuss:
1. Approval of the minutes of the August meeting (attached)
2. Brief post mortem on the Candidate Forum: Lessons learned?
3. Upcoming insulation of RE project: Volunteers needed Sept. 18-19. Dave
4. Signups for Solar Generator class on Sept. 22. Annie: How many sign-ups to date?
5. Updates on Wayne National Forest plan revision? Bioblitz is October 8. Dawn/Rebecca
6. Volunteer for Green Tips for October?
7. Anything else? My mind is scattered. I’m sure I’m forgetting something. Please forgive me.
Send additional agenda items to me by 8 p.m. Friday, September 14.
Note below the attachment: MOVCA is challenging high school kids to think about climate change with $2,000 in cash prizes! Spread the word!
Hope to see you Sunday! Actually, I hope to see you and everyone you know THURSDAY!!
Hugs to you all,
—dawn
