The date is now approaching while we work to sort out these format issues. Can / should we send the list of prepared questions to the candidates for their review and preparation?

Sounds good. Lots to think about.

Subject: [Green] Let's meet to finalize plans for the Candidate Forum
Dear Greenies,
I hope a bunch of you—especially you, Rebecca—are available to meet with me at 12:30 Sunday (or just as soon as we’ve all grabbed a cup of coffee and a bite to eat) to finalize plans for the Candidate Forum. I don’t have a room reserved, so we might just have to occupy a corner of the social hall, or maybe we can move to the RE building if the parlor is available.
Here is what we need to discuss:
Chair arrangement on the stage
Order of presentation among candidates
Order of presentation of opening statements, questions, closing statements
How much time for each component?
Plus the open chair situation: Do we permit Johson’s aide to stand in for him —if we have given him the questions in advance of the event?
Do appoint someone to read Sherrod Brown’s statement? Or do we not read Brown’s statement?
How to go about sending questions to the candidates who have agreed to attend?
Volunteers to collect questions for the candidates from the audience, and select which ones to put forth?
Do we ask the audience to submit questions for ALL the candidates, or for specific offices?
Anything else I’m forgetting?
I’m a working girl: Do I have a volunteer to contact the McTigue Law Group, as Robin recommended:

Here’s the thing I don’t understand: We have treated all these candidates equally. They were invited simultaneously with identical invitations. They all had the opportunity to participate, or if they couldn’t, to send a stand-in, or even a statement. They all had the same opportunity. If they chose not to participate at all, why should their opponent be silenced? That makes no sense to me.
I appreciate the help all of you have given this project, and I hope and trust that a few more of you will see this through to the end.
Thanks!
