[Green] Virtual Green Sanctuary Committee meeting

I know we weren't able to make the Just Dinner, but did help to prepare
food. Mother Nature got in our way.....but we managed to keep water damage
in our basement to a minimum. I'm not sure what everyone else thinks, but
it seems like it is worth it to have the dinner as a fundraiser, especially
since we would have had a Just Dinner anyhow.

I agree that we should renew those memberships and have a discussion about
the other donations.

March 4 meeting sounds great to touch base with everyone.

A sister Earth Hour event in Marietta, as suggested by Adeline, sounds like
a great idea.

Chris just called and set up the Betsey Mills gym for us for Apr. 21 for a
hoedown/line dance/contra to do as a benefit for the Solar Match Fund.
That is assuming everyone would still like to do that. Chris is donating
is time as a caller, Dawn said she could call a contra or two, and we have
plenty of line dance and country dance music for in between. We can't get
in to the gym until 7, which is unfortunate since I was hoping the dance
could be 7-10, but we could start at 7:30, so we'd have a little time for
set up.
We can talk more specifics later, in person. We will have to pay for
the rental. Dawn and I were discussing a charge at the door of $5 pp, and
then donation cans, maybe charging for food, or just asking for a
donation? I was thinking snack/munchie type items, donated by Green
Sanctuary members, but certainly open to other ideas.
It would be a community dance, open to the public, so hopefully with
some advertising, we can get good attendance. If we plan on going ahead
with it, I will make up flyers and have them ready by the reg. March
meeting for members to distribute.
I realize that Apr. 21 is also the middle of all the Earth Day
activities, which may work to our advantage, (maybe even some free
advertising??) but will make for a very busy day for all of us. So
thoughts and suggestions are appreciated. It will also be our last chance
to make any money for the Solar Match Fund.
