Replying as best I can:
1. I thought the Just Dinner was successful, and worth the effort.
People seemed to enjoy themselves, and there was good conversation
afterward. However, maybe we can think up something else for the Service
Auction next time.

2. Will post Faithify campaign, faithfully.

3. Great news on the match fund!

4. I vote yes to renew on FLMR and OEC, both valuable groups. (Does
anyone know why FLMR annual meeting was cancelled?) Probably should
discuss MOVCA and KWW.

5. Likely we will have additional responsibilities for March 18. More
info after W&M meeting March 7.

6. My understanding was that we requested that we have a role in April
22 service, but maybe I didn't hear correctly.

7. MOVCA thought we might have a sister Earth Hour event. Jean Ambrose
has talked the city and county governments in Parkersburg/Wood County
into turning off lights in government buildings for Earth Hour. Other
plans are not yet completed, but I think she has booked someplace to
hold the event. There was talk of acoustic music and candlelight, but I
don't know what else might be part of the event. *Hey, Dave Ballantyne,*
do you have any contacts in Marietta Council that might be approachable
on dousing lights in Marietta?

8.  ?

9. I agree, would love to visit Blue Rock Station!

10. Because OH candidates would probably not want to go to WV, Eric
Engle, chair of MOVCA, clarified that he was envisioning *two events* on
the same date (Thursday, April 19), one in Pburg and one in Marietta. He
has already begun inviting WV candidates and groups. Dave had suggested
we look for some additional nonpartisan groups to help, such as League
of Women Voters or Marietta College groups.
Eric expressed concerns about the Parkersburg centric nature of MOVCA,
and he really wants the group to be equally supportive about issues
affecting the Ohio part of the MOV. Do we have anyone with a political
bent who would help us get things rolling?
I am not very knowledgeable about political stuff, so I am not inclined
to be an organizer for such an event, but I do see it as something
worthwhile. If we want to plan a public event like this, we'd need to
get started right away at inviting all the candidates. And I suppose
we'd need to set out some guidelines about what issues we'd want
candidates to discuss, perhaps giving them an opportunity to respond in
writing if they were unable to attend. What do you all think?

Email discussion is good, but face to face is better. I'm OK with
meeting March 4.
