[Green] Just Dinner, call for agenda items, etc.

I am doing cleanup after coffee hour on Sunday and will be setting up for the film screening, but my LTTE on the park issue got a response from Cindy Oxender on City Council; she is the council member most in favor of selling the parcel. She would like to meet at some point--have not called her yet.


I have been in contact with various people involved with the city and/or its green spaces over the years, and discussion has begun about setting up a "friends" group to work with the city on park issues. Input will be needed, so if anyone has some time, interest, or expertise, please consider volunteering for this group once it forms.

Dear Green Friends,

1) Please don’t forget: The Just Dinner is this Friday at 6 p.m. I will arrive as close to 5 as possible to set up, but I hope you will, too!

2) I just now signed on to the letter regarding continued participation in the Wayne National Forest planning process.

3) Call for Agenda items: Our meeting is Sunday at 12:30.
1. Planning for the September 13 Candidate Forum on Energy and the Environment.
a. Format
b. I will ask MOVCA and FLMR if they would like to submit questions of the candidates.
2. Solar classes!  The plan, the schedule, the Memorandum of Understanding!
3. Reminder: Screening of A Forest Returns—about our very own Wayne National Forest—Sunday at 2 in the FUUSM social hall.
4. Wayne National Forest plan revision updates
5. Green Tips for September
6. RE Building Energy Efficiency Updates
7. Reminder: Screening of A Forest Returns—about our very own Wayne National Forest—Sunday at 2 in the FUUSM social hall.
8. Anything else?

Please send me additional agenda items by Thursday, August 16 at 7 p.m.

4) I propose we meet at 12:30 at Emanuel’s on Front Street, and that we enjoy lunch while we meet! Otherwise, we won’t have time to meet and then eat lunch, and then be back at the church by 2 p.m.

OR, Kelcey proposed that we meet as planned, but eat leftovers from the Just Dinner!  I’m okay with that, too—if there are leftovers!  Please let me know your thoughts!  Or we can discuss it Friday at the Just Dinner.

If you think we should meet at our usual place and not have lunch together, please don’t hesitate to say so. I’m open to all ideas.
