[Green] Planning for Just Dinner

Thank you, Adeline! You beat me to doing this. My message yesterday asked everyone to respond with with they're bringing, and how much, but the list of attendees was so long, I guess few people got that far! Please reply to let us know what you are bringing! Especially if it deviates from what Adeline has cobbled together.

Unless, that is, you have already. Thank you, Debra and Jim!

Janelle Patterson from the newspaper called me today. She had previously spoken to RevKat, and actually was on the roof today!! So there will be a story about the solar match fund and the just dinner in the newspaper in the next few days. If more people sign up for the Just Dinner.... oy!

But truly, I am planning to make huge vats of food--fifty people can have a small portion of each of the four entrees I plan to bring, or larger portions if not everyone opts for some of each.

I stressed to Janelle that we really need a head count, so if anyone decides to attend, they should call me.

Perhaps I'm being foolish, but I think we'll be okay.

With Rebecca's and Debra's wine, that's nine bottles, and I could add a bottle of local Merlot. That's 10 bottles. Surely that's enough for each person who want a glass to have one. I don't think we need more wine.

Correction: I plan to make THREE vegetarian lasagnas with local pasta and home-grown tomatoes.

The brown rice does not really count as a side dish, although I will probably serve it separately from the veggie dish. The chicken dish will be served on a bed of noodles.

(My contributions are all so carb heavy! Sorry.)

I'm afraid the earliest I'll be able to arrive is 4:30-ish, if I'm lucky. I will drop off my contributions during the lunch hour. They'll just need to be reheated.

No, I forgot Randy!

Yes, separate tables makes more sense for a group this large. Buffet served in the kitchen is fine, I think, with desserts and beverages in the FH.

Yes, ethical eating tents. If you have time for bouquets, Adeline, go for it! It would be a lovely touch.

Of course I will help with cleanup.

Thank you for asking all the right questions, Adeline.

Others, please let us know what you're bringing, and how many it will serve!
