[Green] Green Sanctuary Committee: Various things

1. Attached, please find the minutes from our October meeting.

2. Even though at that meeting we agreed that we would have a GSC-prepared Just Dinner on February 16, offered as a Service Auction item, I propose that we rethink. The problem is that only four of us have committed to pitching in to cook. Last year, if I recall correctly, 26 people came to that event, and if last year’s sign-ups predict this year’s, 26 people is a lot for four people to cook for. So I propose NOT offering it as a Service Auction item. We can still decide to offer it as a GSC-catered Just Dinner fundraiser for FUUSM farther on down the road—or not if we determine that most GSC members won’t be around to help. 

So, unless someone convinces me otherwise in the next few days, I won’t be writing up a Service Auction donation form for that event. Speak up soon if you think I’m wrong about this. 

3. I know I’m early on this, but next week will be crazy busy, so please send your GSC agenda items to me by Sunday, November 12, at 7 p.m.   Here’s what we’ll need to discuss:
	a. Winter Gardening Class progress
	b. Solar Match Fund: How to go about local fund-raising before hitting up Faithify. And, now that our focus has changed from raising money for purchase of solar panels, to raising money for making the historic RE building more energy efficient, what should we do?  A press release to local media? How to proceed? 
	c. What else? 
	d. Note: I won’t be at the November 19 meeting, but Andrew has agreed to chair the meeting.

3. An Inconvenient Sequel will show at 7 p.m. Thursday, November 16, at the WVUP Theater. Suggested donation is $5. I plan to go. How about you?
