Featured Volunteer Opportunity:

Organize a summer film screening of the solar documentary, Catching the Sun!

OH SUN has secured the rights to screen the inspiring solar film, Catching the Sun<http://www.catchingthesun.tv/>, and we need your help to organize a community screening in your area! Catching the Sun is a great entry point to get folks in your area excited about solar and interested in learning more.

To get started:

1.  Check out the OH SUN Solar Movie Screening Toolkit (attached to this email). This will provide you with everything you’ll need to plan and implement a great event!
2.   Email me at carra at communitypowernetwork.org<mailto:carra at communitypowernetwork.org> to let me know that you are interested in organizing a solar movie screening!
3.   Watch the film (available on Netflix and via OH SUN’s Dropbox – instructions in toolkit)
4.   Research and contact the organizers of any summer film festivals or outdoor movie series you may know of in your community to ask if they would be interested in featuring Catching the Sun.
         a.    If no such film screenings exist in your area, find a location that you think would work well and ask if they would be interested in partnering with you on a summer film screening.

1. Seeking Solar Homeowners to showcase their solar homes in the upcoming Green Energy Ohio Solar Tour! If interested, email me at carra at communitypowernetwork.org<mailto:carra at communitypowernetwork.org> and fill out this online form: http://www.greenenergyohio.org/ost/insSite.cfm - we will provide you with OH SUN resources and information for your solar open house.

2. Seeking volunteer photographers to provide photography assistance to OH SUN by periodically photographing events and solar homeowners with their solar systems. Volunteer photographers should have their own, high-resolution camera to use. This can be a one-time or a few times per year volunteer role! We are happy to work around your schedule and location.
