*A Proposal for a Green Sanctuary Submission to the Service Auction*


At our meeting on Sunday, October 16, we decided to skip the November 
Just Dinner (that would be on the same date as the Service auction) and 
resume the regular quarterly schedule in February. Later on, toward the 
end of a very long and packed agenda and after several people had left, 
we discussed having the committee submit something to the auction. Some 
different things were proposed: a green gardening basket, a birder 
basket, etc. I suggested we might do a Just Dinner for which the 
committee members prepared the meal (instead of the usual potluck) and 
offered seats at the dinner, with up to 30 purchasers who would be our 
guests for the occasion. After discussion and checking calendars, it 
looks like we could do this on the anticipated February date (February 
17) in the Fellowship Hall. But the five of us who were still there 
didn't want to be deciding for the whole committee.

So we're putting it to an E-vote.

Please let me know if you think it's a good idea, if you are willing to 
help with the event, and if you will be available to participate on 
February 17, 2017. *Please respond by October 30.* If we have a majority 
of committee members committed, I'll write up a submission form.

FYI, I'm sending this on behalf of Dawn Hewitt, our committee chair, who 
left for vacation on Monday. She will be available to help with the 
event in February.
