[Green] Green Sanctuary Committee meeting agenda, and news!

Greetings,all,

Kudos to everyone for everything that is being accomplished. I will be out of town this weekend for my stepson's 50th (!) birthday celebration. (Those of you who were here for my first wedding in 1988--that handsome young soldier who seated Bill's mother is now old enough for AARP.)

One report on behalf of MOVCA: 68 people attended the climate change program at WVUP on Feb. 4, with 8 more attending via a video hookup to our Ripley campus. A student came to my office the next day to tell me how much he had learned and how much he appreciated Dave Ballantyne's presentation, in particular.

A request: would anyone be interested in staffing a Low-Carbon Diet table at WVUP's Earth Day on April 21? And/or possibly ARECC? Students in WV too often have no clue that Ohio even exists.

First the news: Yesterday I submitted information about the Just Dinner to the Marietta Times as a calendar item. Apparently, it caught the eye of a reporter, who called me today for an interview. There will be an article in tomorrow’s paper about out!
I hope some of you will help me set up the fellowship hall around 4:30 or 5 Friday afternoon. And if you can’t, I hope you will at least be able to attend the Just Dinner, at 6 p.m. Friday.  If you can’t be there at all on Friday, I hope you will be able to attend the Green Sanctuary Committee meeting on Sunday at 12:30 p.m. in the parlor.  Attached is the agenda. Once again, I hope we can conduct an efficient meeting, because some of us (myself included) might like to attend the Winter Gardening Class, which begins at 1.
