[Fuusmchat] Advice from Bard!

Dear FUUSM-chat friends,

Just for kicks, I signed up to experiment with Google’s new AI text generator, Bard. Below is what I asked, and what Bard answered. 

My Unitarian Universalist church is hoping to boost its membership.  My community is not very diverse demographically (we’re mostly white, and aging), but political divisions are rampant. Our church welcomes everybody—regardless of their belief system, gender identity, sexual preference, politics,…. You know, we’re UUs. Can you come up with a paragraph or two that would attract young people, especially young families?  Maybe we could post something on social media. Thanks for your help!

Be active on social media. Make sure you are active on social media and post regularly about your church and its programs. You could also use social media to connect with young people in your community.
Partner with other organizations. You could partner with other organizations in your community to reach out to young people. For example, you could partner with a local school or community center to offer a religious education program for children.
Be visible in the community. Make sure your church is visible in the community. You could attend local events or participate in community service projects.

Dawn here again. Well, artificial intelligence seems to think we’re on the right track.  Perhaps I should have asked it to write a poem that would increase our membership!  Maybe I’ll try that next.
