Subject: Literacy Volunteers of the Mid-Ohio Valley - Introduction

Good evening! I'm the Vice President of the new board of the Literacy Volunteers of the Mid-Ohio Valley. I just wanted to introduce myself and let you know about our program. It's existed in one form or another since 1994, but was inactive during the pandemic and we've been working hard to rebuild the board and redevelop programming. Right now, we're trying to recruit volunteer tutors and build a list of potential students for tutoring, which is set to start again toward the end of September.

I've attached our flyers, and more details are available at movreads.org. The only requirements for tutors are the ability to read and the desire to help others, and we'll provide the training for free. For now, we're only accepting volunteers over the age of 18. We're also looking for client referrals, and know that our community churches are some of the best places to get the word out.

I'd be happy to drop off copies of the flyers or talk more about our goals.
