[Fuusm-l] Randall: “No visitors, please.”

Hi everyone,

I just walked across the parking lot and visited Randall in his shared room, which, I think, he’s kind of bummed about. His space is smaller, his roommate has the window view, it’s noisier, and it took a while to get a nurse’s attention. So, he’s has good reason to be a bit down. Still on the ventilator, still can’t talk, and he gets frustrated when I can’t read his lips, which is about 50% of the time. At least he can write—when the pen cooperates. Does anyone have a gravity-proof pen to spare? That would be helpful. (I had one decades ago; haven’t seen it in decades.) I think I’ll order one for him.

Anyway, he requests no visitors—at least for now—so don’t even ask, please. Meanwhile, he is so very grateful for the cards, puzzles, stuffed animals, books, and other love showered upon him from his FUUSM family and other friends. But feel free to email him, or continue with cards and notes.
