[Fuusm-l] More sad news

Dear FUUSM family,

What a week. It is with more great sadness that I relay the news that Nancy
Novak has passed. Nancy directed the choir for many years, coordinated the
Garden Tour and Plant Sale, coordinated the UU+ Book Club, was active with
the League of Women Voters, established the special music fund, and much
more. She was an example of the power of steady, principled living,
according to Martha McGovern, who informed me of this sad news. She also
forwarded a note from Nancy's daughter Janet, via Nancy's husband, our dear
friend Ernie:

Dear Family and Friends



I have sad news about Nancy. After a major stroke last Friday morning, she
passed away peacefully this afternoon in hospice at Crosslands, where Nancy
and Ernie have lived for the past 6 years. The staff here gave her
excellent care and were respectful of her end-of-life choices. Ernie,
Carol, Chris and I have been with her during this time.



We are planning a Celebration of Life, most likely on December 13 at 11 AM
New York time. It will be on Zoom as well as in person. We will send
details soon.



Please pass on word to anyone I missed or whose address above is outdated.
