Why is 6 afraid of 7?

*Two miscellaneous announcements:*
1. Attention tobacco users:If you'd like to quit tobacco products, you can
sign up for the free Ohio Tobacco Quitline by calling 1-800-Quit-Now.
Participants will be assigned a quit coach and be eligible to receive
nicotine replacement therapy through the mail. You can also contact the
Washington County Health Department to receive your free quit kit. [Sent
from Andrea Sites, asites at wcgov.org, (740) 398-2546).

2. From Marietta's development director, Geoff Schenkel, we are invited to
this:

*Event:* Groundbreaking Ceremony for Marietta Levee Improvements
*Location:* Marietta Levee, Ohio Street, Marietta, OH (Park along Greene
Street, at the JD Byrider Lot, or any other available downtown parking)
*Date & Time:* May 9, 2025 at 2:00 p.m.

The city of Marietta will redevelop Levee Park to enhance opportunities for
residents and visitors to enjoy this open-air historic destination. Planned
improvements include sidewalk enhancements, a retaining wall, a boat ramp,
bike racks, landscaping, a pedestrian boardwalk, signage, gateways, an
improved trail connection to a park, and a fully equipped amphitheater.

This project highlights the importance of the City of Marietta’s Ohio River
frontage in supporting tourism and recreation—key contributors to the
city’s economy.

We hope you will join us in celebrating this exciting milestone. If you
have any questions contact Amanda Clark at AmandaClark at mariettaoh.net and
Geoff Schenkel at GeoffSchenkel at mariettaoh.net. Because 7 8 9.
