   3:30–6:30 p.m., Girl Scout Troop meets in the social hall.

   6:30 p.m., Shari Ballantyne’s game night, social hall. You’re invited!

Wednesday, February 12

   -

   6 p.m., Women’s Group potluck, social hall. Stephanie "Squish" Rector
   and Beth Lepore will host. The topic of discussion will be "What qualities
   do you want in a new minister?" PLEASE RSVP to Squish at
   hippychicky15 at yahoo.com.

Thursday, February 13

   -

   7 p.m., Hour of Environmental Action, *social hall and Zoom*. Amanda
   Woodrum of Reinventing Appalachia will meet with us (via Zoom) to
   discuss sustainable development in Marietta and in the Mid-Ohio Valley.
   We greenies so often "oppose" things (justifiably), but sustainable
   development is something we can support, encourage, and back with
   enthusiasm--if only we had more information and ideas. Thursday night will
   be that opportunity! Geoff Shenkel, the City of Marietta's Development
   Director plans to join us! I hope you will, too! We'll be *live in the

   9:30 a.m., Choir practice, sanctuary.

   11 a.m., Sunday service, sanctuary: *Loved Into Being*. Experiencing
   oppression and exclusion stunt our development, but freedom and inclusion
   nurture it. This service will explore the power of inclusive and nurturing
   love to transform individuals and to strengthen and enrich community.
   Diana Bonnell and Elizabeth West will share their experiences with the
   issues of diversity, equity and inclusion in church and work settings. Then
   the congregation will move into small groups for further discussion.

   Coffee hour!  Social hall. Ends at 1 p.m.

   12:30-ish p.m., Green Sanctuary Committee meeting, RE parlor.

Monday, February 17: Presidents Day; FUUSM Office closed.


Save the date: Friday, February 21, 5–10 p.m., Chili dinner and home-grown
entertainment, a FUUSM fundraiser sponsored by our Finance Committee. $12
per adult, children free; wine $2 per glass; bring your banjo, bagpipes,
tuba, or tap shoes, and entertain us for 10 minutes! Don't be shy!
