-
Recognize our Judeo-Christian heritage as well as other traditions and
seek lasting values and new insights;
-
Affirm, defend, and promote the equality, worth, and dignity of every
person;
-
Strive for a world community of love, justice, and peace;
-
Support the democratic process and mutual respect in all human
relationships;
-
Cherish the universe and its resources and recognize the unity of all
life.

Go now in peace. Go now in peace.
May the spirit of love surround you
Everywhere, everywhere, you may go.
Collection of Offerings
Offertory “I Know I Can” by Jeannie Gagné
Reflection Today: How can we live this day so that we have something to be
proud of at the end of our days? Darryl Ting
*Closing Hymn “Ours Is a Simple Faith” by David
Tamulevich/Mustard’s Retreat
Closing Words by W.E.B. DuBois
Postlude “Heliotrope Bouquet,” a Slow Drag Two Step by Scott Joplin and
Louis Chauvin
A Slow Drag was a "cling and sway" sensual style of dancing, similar to
"slow dancing" now, only more suggestive and too intimate to dance with a
casual partner. The first and second sections were probably composed by
Chauvin, the third and fourth show many characteristics of Joplin's
style.–R.K.
