When does a joke become a dad joke?

*MARK YOUR CALENDAR!*
*FUUSM Work Day*, hosted by the Buildings and Grounds Committee--but ALL
HANDS ON DECK, PLEASE!!  Saturday, 9-noon. Minimal carpentry skills
required. Tools will be provided, but feel free to bring your own if you
prefer.

*Committee Fair*
At the Sunday service on Sept. 22 and during the coffee hour following it,
the focus will be on FUUSM committees, and how you can help. Our
congregation runs on sunshine and volunteers. We need your help! Find out
about our committees and what they do, and consider signing up!

*Climate Justice Revival. *
Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 28 and 29: UU congregations across the country
and right here at FUUSM will be participating in a CLIMATE JUSTICE REVIVAL.
Adeline emailed you details last week. For your convenience, here's a link

light lunch will be served on Saturday--which is why we need you to please
register! When it becomes apparent.

*John Kidd Celebration of Life: *1 p.m., Oct. 5.

Tuesday, Sept. 9

   Noon, UU+ Women’s Book Group, Parkersburg Country Club

   3:30–6:30 p.m., Girl Scout Troop meets in the social hall.

Wednesday, Sept. 11

   -

   Noon, Meditation via Zoom.
   -

   6 p.m., Women’s Group potluck, social hall, hosted by Karen Binkley and
   Shari Ballantyne.

Saturday, Sept. 14

   -

   9 a.m.–noon,* FUUSM* work party! Volunteers needed! Fix fellowship hall
   chairs with missing screws; shore up pews; other odds and ends requiring
   repair or maintenance in our beloved sanctuary building.

Sunday, Sept. 15

   -

   9:30 a.m., Choir practice, sanctuary

   11 a.m., Sunday service, sanctuary. Thriving Along the Way, by Darryl
   Ting.

   Coffee hour! Social hall. Ends at 1 p.m.

   12:15 p.m., Board of Trust Governors, RE upstairs meeting room. When it
