As I was walking my dog down a country road, I saw a sign that said "Duck,
eggs". Hmmm, my editor/grammarian mind thought, what's with the comma? I
continued my walk, perplexed, and then it hit me.
(This concludes the humor portion of your weekly update.)
Please don't forget: We're collecting to help f*und Norwood United
Methodist Church's Thanksgiving meal *giveaway—at least enough to cover the
40 meals for patrons of the Community Resource Center who will enjoy their
meals in the FUUSM social hall. Credit Nancy Lee and Shari Ballantyne for
this great idea. If you wish to help set up, serve these meals or clean up
afterward, contact Nancy or Shari, but they won't need a lot of help since
the meals are pre-packaged.* Thanks to all who have already contributed*!!
