You might be a Unitarian if .... (read on for answer #37)
*Plant Sale SATURDAY! Helpers Needed.*
FUUSM's annual plant sale will be 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 18. Drop
off plant donations between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Friday. We are still in
need of helpers. If you have time on* Friday *morning, when we will set up
the courtyard and price the plants, *or anytime Saturday,* please add your
name to this online list:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1YCQrrtZfDSNvaimw0Hw3Ls7NVBEiUGBiI1yn69o1aWo/edit.
You might be a Unitarian if you think the Holy Trinity refers to "Reuse,
Reduce, and Recycle."
*Speaking of Recycling...*
A lot of non-recyclable plastics are being placed in the plastic-recycling
basket in the FUUSM kitchen. Plastic recycling is complicated,
unfortunately. Not all plastic items stamped with the triangular recycling
symbol are recyclable locally. Items stamped with 3, 6 or 7 inside the
triangle, or with no number at all *MUST* go into the trash. Rumpke
accepts *bottle-
and tub-shaped containers* for curbside pickup (regardless of the recycling
number), but nothing else. Plastic bottles and tubs can* go with cardboard,
glass, and steel cans in the rectangular GREEN bin* in the kitchen.
Plastics of any shape bearing the numbers *1,* *2, 4, and 5 inside the
recycle triangle are the only plastics the Marietta Area Recycling Center*
will accept. Put such items into the basket labeled Plastics 1,2,4, 5, and
a Green Sanctuary Committee member will haul them to the recycling center.
Sorry this is complicated.
