*Seeking Donations for April 12 Service Auction*

Please donate to FUUSM's biggest fundraiser of the year: the Service
Auction, to be held April 12. There are three categories: Live auction,
silent auction, and set price. (No country store this time.) Especially
popular with our folks are events that feature food! This can be as simple
as a country-style dinner, a picnic, an ethnic adventure, a garden party,
etc. Not able to host a party but love to cook? Offer your specialty to be
prepared and delivered to the winning bidder. We're also fond of games: a
card party, puzzle competition...how about an evening of charades? Outdoor
adventures, such as a bird walk, nature hike, kayak/canoe trip, bike tour,
local history tour. And let's not forget services: a car wash, a simple
will, handyman service, window washing, genealogy research, chauffeur
service, dog walking, petsitting, to name but a few. Art, jewelry, food,
useful things, unique things, garden decor, make good silent auction items.
Really special ones make good live auction items. The deadline for items is
March 29. A form with the info needed to prepare bid sheets and the catalog
is attached. You can print and fill out the form and get it to the church
lady, or send the information as an email to: Cindy Brown at
labrown at gmail.com,

*Frances Dana Barker Gage at the Blennerhasset Museum!*
The topic of Rebecca Phillips' reflection this Sunday will be remarkable UU
Women, including Frances Dana Barker Gage, who was an abolitionist and
educator born in Devola, lived in McConnellsville, and had an important
role in the suffrage of women of all races. The Civil War Roundtable will
present a talk on Ms. Gage at 7 p.m., Thursday, March 21, at the
Blennerhassett Museum in Parkersburg. Please see
