There really is a First Unitarian Church of Kennebunk, Maine (ME), but they
avoid their problematic acronym by calling themselves the First Unitarian
Parish of Kennebunk. This concludes the humor portion of your FUUSM Weekly
Update, but we hope you will read the rest of it, anyhow.

Please remember: *There will be no Sunday Service, Coffee Hour, or any
other events held in our sanctuary or RE building on Sunday morning, June
23.* Instead, please join us at *11 a.m. at Parkersburg City Park, Shelter
11*, for the annual FUUSM potluck picnic brunch, followed at noon by the
Interfaith service during the MOV Multi-Cultural Fest. Directions are here

   *Quaker Meeting rescheduled for 11 a.m. Sunday, June 30, *RE parlor.


*SAVE THE DATE: 10 a.m. till 3 p.m., AUGUST 3: FUUSM YARD SALE!*
Volunteers will be needed not only before and during the yard sale, but for
three days prior, and clean-up afterward. Pre-price your non-junk castoffs,
and then bring them to the FUUSM social hall on July 31, or Aug. 1 and 2.
(Times to be determined.) No clothing or shoes, books, or electronics,
please. Stephanie (Squish) Rector is coordinating the event this year. Call
