A UU Poem for a Cold Winter's Day is embedded somewhere below.

Announcements.

1. *Jeff Newton needs a ride* to Sunday services. He lives at 15th and
Latrobe in Parkersburg. If you can give him a lift, please call him at
(304) 916-5992.

2. *The Committee on Ministries* met January 7th. We are a supportive and
problem solving group available to assist with any issues related to
congressional ministries. We are here to listen and to facilitate
resolutions. Karen Binkly (Board liaison), Gary Hamilton, Katy McDaniel,
Beth Lepore.

3. *FUUSM needs a new organizer for our Thursday meals at the Community
Resource Center .* At this time we have volunteers cooking the Thursday
meals organized through the end of March. Beth Lepore has facilitated this
but will not continue as coordinator after the last Thursday of March. It
is not a time consuming or difficult job because of all the wonderful cooks
and volunteers in our midst. Beth is willing to help with the transition
but is not willing to continue as coordinator.
Please give Beth a call if you have any questions or are willing to take
over as coordinator, at (740) 525-1423. (*Thank you, Beth,* for your
dedication to this worthy project for the past several years!)

4. *Erratum: *On January 14, Randall Kidder played “Deep River,” a
beautiful piece composed by Samuel Coleridge-Taylor (1875-1912). The
composer’s mother named him after the poet Samuel Taylor Coleridge
(1772-1834) of “The Rime of the Ancient Mariner” fame. The little “twist”
of names has caused confusion for quite some time and appeared again in the
order of service on Sunday.

6. *Mystery solved! *The missing bottles of PAD piano humidifier have been
found! Somehow, they found their way to a cabinet inside the "green room"
(formerly known as the bride's room). Credit goes to our building steward,
Wendy Fry, for their recovery.
