[Fuusm-l] FUUSM service Sunday, August 18, 2024: NO Zoom or Facebook live

*Please join us at 11 a.m. Sunday at the Anderson Hancock Planetarium,* at
the corner of Fourth and Butler streets, on the campus of Marietta College
for a sky show!!  Facebook live and Zoom will not be available this week,
and there will be no no service in the sanctuary, and no Coffee Hour.

The presentation will be "Indigenous Astronomy and the August Skies,"
presented by Dr. Ann Bragg, planetarium director and professor of physics
and astronomy at the college.

*Announcements*
Save the date: 5 p.m. Wednesday, August 28, strategy session  to discuss
Warming Shelter/Resource Center lunches on Thursday–which FUUSM volunteers
provide. Those currently involved are encouraged to attend, and newcomers will
be very welcome. Stassa will provide pizza and drinks. Social hall and
kitchen.

   10:30 a.m., Tai chi reunion, social hall.

Sunday, August 18

   11 a.m., Sunday service: Field Trip to Planetarium!

   Coffee hour!!

   12:30 p.m., Green Sanctuary Committee, RE parlor and via Zoom.

Tuesday, August 20: Confluence content due. Office assistant out for
vacation. Returns August 26. FUUSM Office will be *open* while she's away.

   -

   3:30–6:30 p.m., Girl Scout Troop meets in the social hall.

Wednesday, August 21

   -

   Noon, Meditation via Zoom.
   -

   6 p.m., Men’s Group potluck, social hall, hosted by Jeff Newton.

Sunday, August 25

   -

   9:30 a.m., Buildings & Grounds Committee meeting, social hall.
   -

   9:30 a.m., Choir practice, sanctuary. New voices are always welcome–but
   especially as we resume practice for the new season of singing.
   -

   11 a.m., Sunday service, TBA
   -

   11 a.m., MOV Quaker meeting, RE parlor.
   -

   Coffee Hour! Social hall.
